Finally, I had made my decision of which design that I will use for my final piece. I have chosen the one that with colourful background colour with my hand written text, because I think this will make my portfolio unique, stand out and attractive. However, this design is an initial idea, changes may make when I start creating the website.

Designs of my portfolio
I have created 3 different designs of my portfolio... one of these I will use it for my final piece.
The first and the second one are the designs that I like. However, I still struggle which one I should use for my final one.

Another wire frame
rzmota's portfolio
the orange tree's website
The inspiration of this wire frame is from the following online portfolio and the orange tree's website. I like they allow user to click on the objects and jump to another. These gave the user that they are using "it"- sitting on the chair using the space (table), because they can interact with the objects. Unfortunately, I only got 5 weeks to create this portfolio so there will be a limitation that can I create this?
I expect this website looks more interactive than the wire frames that I created before. For example: the images that in the centre of the page will fade into brownish colour when they aren't hover, and these will be my recent works. The grey box that on the left up corner that is a camera which will like us to the portfolio- gallery page. In addition, I am expecting to have one more image- iPhone at the bottom left corner that will link to the contact me page. The navigation will be a pull out menu, if the user did not use the menu for 30 sec, it will automatic hide away.

wire frames x2
From last week seminar, we have been introduced “the Design Principles” i.e. how to create a good website. The tips that I got from the seminar were “Less is More!”, uncommon navigation- “Stand out as unique.”, “white space helps to give a professional feels to your portfolio.” etc.
In order to achieve these principles, I have looked through different artists’ online portfolio and organisation websites. From my last week’s entry, I had talked about my initial ideas for my website’s wireframe. The inspirations were from read through other artists and organisations’ websites, my interest, and my imagination.
And I would like my website including some user interactions.
For example: Nick Danilov’s Portfolio, I like the facts that when we click to the next page, it an interaction appears in between like the original page slide to one side and the new page appear. He gave me the feeling that I am flipping through his portfolio.
And my interest is photography, especially photos that have special effects like Polaroid. Therefore, I would like the theme of my portfolio is based on my interest which create an identification.
Recently, I have been the Polaroid website. I think it is very cool that have the latest information present in the homepage with a scroll bar at the bottom.
The followings are the ideas that combining the inspirations that I mention above:

Layout??
Here are the initial ideas of Digital Me project's layout, I think I did not draw this properly. However, I will have a seminar of how to create a wire frame. A wire frame is about a website screen layout, user interaction, and navigation options. In that seminar, I wish I will be taught by how to draw interaction in my wire frame.

Mood-board
I have created the mood-board for the "Digital Me" project. I have collected a range of images, colours and font which I feel reflect to my personal interest and preferences and describe my personal branding.

Lecture x Seminar
In this seminar, I have 3 hours lecture x seminar, it was about an introduction of digital me. The task we have been told was to create a mood-board and place in my online journal by next seminar.
Summary of the seminar
The final piece of this project will not be perfect, because this is a portfolio that I will update in the future, which mean I can keep improving it. Therefore, I won’t expect this to be perfect. The aim of a portfolio is putting all my best work in it, so I shouldn't put every piece of the works that I create in this website. And in the seminar, Shaun did shown us lot of portfolio website. A lot of them are pretty good, their website are unique which represent an identification of the designer, and we should create the website as a piece of ART not just a WEBSITE.
